VINCENT, Ohio, Feb. 4, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ — Today, Southern Ohio Energy Consultants, in the capacity of exclusive consultant and adviser to Utica Shale mineral owners, announces that the company continues to represents over 100,000 acres of Utica Shale located in the “rich condensate” and “oil” phases of the emerging play in Washington, Athens, Meigs, Muskingum, and Perry Counties in South Eastern Ohio. This acreage position is available for lease and is off-set to Anadarko’s (APC) and Antero Resources production in Noble County Ohio and recently permitted or announced wells by PDC Energy, Magnum Hunter Resources and Flat Rock Resources in Washington County Ohio.

Southern Ohio Energy Consultants (SOEC), represents individual mineral owners exclusively in this region by virtue of a written agreement granted by each mineral owner the firm represents.  The firm is comprised of industry professionals with experience in horizontal shale plays to facilitate organization, education of mineral owners, and negotiations with horizontal operators.

SOEC, recently consummated a deal for 8,000 acres of mineral owners in Northern Washington County Ohio.  This Phase of the Utica Shale continues to see increased activity by horizontal operators as a better understanding of the geology of the region is gained.
