The Marcellus Shale and You: Recap of October 15 Radio Show

Play

This week on “The Marcellus Shale and You,” show host, Tejas Gosai, featured two industry leaders who discussed the latest shale news and answered listeners’ questions regarding minerals and leasing mineral rights.

Chris Phillips, President of Phillips Energy Partners, has worked in the natural gas industry for decades and has experience in all facets of the energy industry. Along with working with prominent companies such as Texla Energy Management and El Paso Energy, he has gone above and beyond in this industry to capitalize on his recent ventures.

Phillips Energy Partners is a royalty/mineral fund with a combined private equity commitment of $90MM and participates in the acquisition and aggregation of minerals in 11 states. In addition to Chris Phillips, the show also hosted Daryl Price, Senior Land Director from Appalachian Basin, to discuss land owner rights and the art of negotiating with large oil and gas companies.

Price has been involved in the lease acquisition side of the Marcellus Shale since 2008 and is a liaison between the land owner and the oil and gas companies, large and small. This week, listeners called in about leasing mineral rights and environmental issues, and continued our discussion on Governor Corbett’s energy plan.
