What Percentage of PA Voters Support a Tax on Shale Gas Industry?

According to a statewide poll conducted for the Tribune-Review, approximately 63% of Pennsylvania voters support a tax on the Marcellus Shale industry. Many of these same voters supported Gov-elect Corbett’s opposition to new taxes, yet in this instance there seems to be an exception. How would this tax affect the projected 4 billion dollar state deficit? Would a levy tax discourage drilling companies from entering the state?
